Obverse description Draped and diademed bust of Plautilla facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, wearing a chiton and himation. A crescent or patera appears at the lower left of the bust. The encircling Greek legend runs along the outer border of the flan.

Reverse description Tetrastyle temple depicted in perspective, its four columns framing the cult statue of Artemis Anaïtis standing facing, veiled and fully draped, within the cella. The architectural elements of the entablature and pediment are rendered in detail typical of provincial civic coinage. The Greek magistrate legend is distributed in the field and along the periphery, identifying the issuing strategos and the civic ethnic of Hypaepa.
