| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, portrayed from the rear, with the paludamentum and cuirass visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays the youthful features characteristic of Caracalla's early portraiture. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
