| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled in the typical Severan fashion, secured at the nape of the neck. The empress is depicted with characteristic portraiture of the period, wearing a garment with visible drapery folds at the shoulder and chest. The Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying her as Augusta. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the typical green patina of provincial bronze coinage. |
