| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled at the nape in the characteristic Severan style. The empress is depicted with typical portraiture features of the period, including a broad neck and pronounced drapery folds over the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the border of the flan, rendered within a dotted border. The overall style reflects the local provincial die-cutting tradition of the Lydian conventus under Roman imperial authority. |
