The reverse legend C I F SINOPE ANN CCLV encircles the scene, recording the colonial title Colonia Iulia Felix Sinope and the city era date of year 255, corresponding to 209-210 AD. The composition reflects the strong Egyptianizing religious influence at Sinope during the Severan era. |
