Obverse description Laureate bust of Septimius Severus facing right, draped and cuirassed, with the emperor's characteristic full beard rendered in fine curling strands. The imperial effigy is depicted in the conventional provincial style, with bold relief despite moderate surface wear. The Greek legend encircles the portrait in the outer field, reading from upper left around the periphery.

Reverse description The goddess Leto advances to the left, her head turned back to the left, rendered in long draped robes with fluid folds visible despite wear. She carries her divine twin children, Artemis and Apollo, one in each arm, alluding to the mythological tradition of their birth at Magnesia. The civic legend of the Magnesians, naming the presiding magistrate Pollianus, is distributed around the periphery of the field in Greek characters.
