| 裏面の説明 | Apollo Didymeus standing facing at center, holding a stag in one hand and a bow in the other, referencing the famous cult statue of the Didymaion sanctuary near Miletus. To his side stands Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted with his characteristic serpent-entwined staff (caduceus). The composition reflects Miletus's pride in its association with the great oracular sanctuary at Didyma, and the multi-figure arrangement is typical of the civic iconography of Ionian provincial bronzes. The encircling legend names the city, its neocorate status, and the presiding archiprytanis. |
