| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II as Caesar facing right, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective emphasising the muscular cuirass. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Ionian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. A Greek legend curves around the periphery of the flan, identifying the prince by his titulature. The field is plain, and the whole is enclosed within a beaded border. |

She holds in her right hand a small statuette of Ares, the war god, and in her left arm a cornucopia symbolising abundance. At her feet to the left stands a small lighted altar, a common votive element in Ionian provincial types. The reverse legend encircles the design within a beaded border, proclaiming the civic identity of the issuing mint. |
