| Obverse description | Draped bust of Otacilia Severa, wife of Philip I, facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with a diadem, arranged in waves drawn back to a bun at the nape. The effigy displays fine provincial die-cutting characteristic of the Sardian mint under the Philippan dynasty. The encircling Greek legend names the empress with her full titulature. A dotted border frames the design. |

| Reverse description | The xoanon-type cult statue of Kore (Persephone), patron goddess of Sardis, depicted standing facing in a stiff, archaic frontal pose, clad in a long chiton and himation, her arms extended. To the left stands a tall poppy stem and to the right an ear of grain (corn), both emblems of the chthonic deity and her association with the harvest and the Eleusinian mysteries. The encircling Greek legend records the name of the local strategos and the city's double neocorate status. A dotted border encloses the composition. |
