The two horses are depicted in energetic motion with raised forelegs. The Greek civic legend ΑΜΑϹΤΡΙΑΝΩΝ arcs across the upper field, while the numeral Η (8), denoting the eighth year of the local civic era or an agonistic denomination, appears in the lower field or exergue. A ground line separates the main design from the lower legend. The composition is executed in a lively provincial style typical of Pontic civic bronzes of the Severan period. |
