| Obverse description | Draped bust of Crispina, wife of Commodus, facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back in the characteristic Antonine fashion with wavy strands rendered in fine relief. The effigy displays detailed drapery folds over the shoulders and chest. The encircling Greek legend reads ΚΡΙϹΠΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ, identifying her as Augusta, and runs along the periphery of the flan. |
