Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Lucius Verus, facing right, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, with finely rendered hair and beard characteristic of his portraiture. The effigy is depicted in high relief with the emperor's characteristic physiognomy. A Greek imperial legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially legible due to the irregular flan edge. The workmanship reflects the provincial Greek die-cutting style of Bithynian mint production of the Antonine period.
