Reverse description Nude figure of Heracles standing facing right in a contrapposto pose, his weight resting on a grounded club at his right side, holding a bow in his extended hand, with the Nemean lion skin draped over his arm. The Greek legend ΤΟΝ ΚΤΙϹΤΗ[ (partially off-flan, reading 'the founder') runs along the left field, referencing the city's honorific title as founded or refounded under imperial patronage. The figure is rendered in the classical heroic style common to Bithynian civic bronze coinage of the Antonine period. The reverse field shows heavy wear and encrustation consistent with extended circulation and burial.
