Reverse description Heracles standing facing right, his right hand resting on his hip in a characteristic pose of repose, while his left arm leans upon his club, which is set upright on a rock with the Nemean lion skin draped over it. The figure is rendered with muscular definition typical of provincial Greek bronzes, recalling the Farnese Heracles type. The reverse legend ϹΥΝΝΑΔΕΩΝ arcs across the field, identifying the issuing city of Synnada in Phrygia. The composition is simple but monumental, with the hero occupying the full height of the reverse field.
