| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, portrayed three-quarter view from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the typical provincial portraiture style of the early third century AD. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular in shape and bears a suspension hole pierced through the upper field, indicating secondary use as a pendant. Surface shows heavy wear and dark patination consistent with extended ancient circulation. |
