| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the pauldron and cuirass details visible at the shoulder. The emperor's bearded effigy is depicted in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the early third century AD. The circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, running along the full periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a heavy green patina consistent with long burial, with the portrait remaining identifiable despite surface corrosion. |
