The figure at left, representing the Tyche of Hierapolis, and the figure at right, representing the Tyche of Laodicea, clasp hands in a dextrarum iunctio gesture symbolizing the alliance between the two cities. Each figure is draped in a long chiton and himation, and the composition is framed by a dotted border. The civic legend of both communities is inscribed around the periphery of the field.
