| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figural group composed of three deities of healing: Hygieia, goddess of health, stands to the right feeding a serpent from a patera held in her extended hand; facing her, Asclepius stands to the left, leaning on his serpent-entwined staff (the caduceus); between the two principal figures, the small cloaked figure of Telesphorus stands frontally, completing the triad. The composition is a hallmark of the healing-cult iconography common to the cities of the Conventus of Sardis. The Greek magistrate's legend and ethnic inscription of the Cadians frame the scene around the periphery. |
