Before him stands a rectangular structure, identified as a monumental temple or civic building, depicted frontally and surrounded by a colonnade with two pylons or towers flanking the entrance, rendered in the schematic architectural style typical of Aeolian civic bronze coinage. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, records the name and title of the presiding strategos responsible for the coin issue. |
