| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Annia Faustina facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Smyrna conventus. The effigy displays elaborate coiffure beneath a diadem, with drapery visible at the truncation. The Greek legend ΑΝΝΙΑ ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ runs around the bust in the field, identifying the subject as the short-lived wife of Emperor Elagabalus. The coin surface exhibits a dark olive-green patina with areas of granular corrosion consistent with extended burial. |
