| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Phrygia. The emperor's portrait displays a laurel wreath crown, with facial features consistent with Severan-era iconography. The circumferential Greek legend reads ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΟϹ around the effigy. The flan is somewhat irregular, and the surface shows the typical dark patina of a bronze provincial issue struck under the Conventus of Synnada. |
