| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear, with the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and the muscled cuirass clearly rendered. The imperial effigy displays the emperor's characteristic bearded portrait with a pronounced laurel wreath. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. |
