| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled in the characteristic Severan style, rising in ridged tiers above the forehead and gathered at the nape of the neck. The empress is depicted with drapery visible at the truncation, rendered in multiple layered folds. The Greek legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΔΟΜΝΑ ϹΕΒ runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible on the worn surface. |
