(Translation: Emperor Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Pius)
Reverse description Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left. In his right hand he holds a patera extended over a flaming altar, while his left hand grasps the serpent-entwined staff (caduceus/asklepion) characteristic of the deity. The figure is rendered in the classical Alexandrian provincial style. The regnal date appears in the field, consistent with Egyptian dating conventions of the Roman period.
