| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy displays a bearded portrait with finely modelled facial features, the head turned in right profile. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the field, identifying the emperor by his imperial titles. The flan is somewhat irregular, as characteristic of provincial bronze issues of the period. |

| Reverse description | The serpent-god Glykon depicted in high relief, its body coiling upon itself in multiple sinuous loops across the central field, with a distinctive human-like head surmounting the serpentine form and facing right. This unusual deity was the central cult figure promoted by the oracle Alexander of Abonoteichus, and its representation on civic coinage of Ionopolis is a hallmark of the city's religious identity during the Antonine period. The circular Greek legend encircles the type within a border, naming the god and the civic ethnonym of the issuing community. |
