Reverse description A standing figure of the Genius of Stobi depicted facing left, holding three corn-ears in the right hand and a cornucopia in the left hand, symbolising the fertility and prosperity of the municipium. The figure is rendered in a simple provincial style typical of Macedonian civic coinage of the Flavian period. The encircling Latin legend MVNICIPI STOBENSIVM is distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing authority as the municipality of Stobi. The flan is irregular, consistent with the hand-struck nature of this provincial bronze issue.
