Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style. The legend surrounds the bust in Greek characters, reading ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑ ΟΥΕϹΠΑϹΙ ΚΑΙϹΑΡΙ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΩ, designating him as Autocrator, Caesar, and Augustus. The portrait features characteristic Flavian physiognomy with a broad, fleshy face, and the laurel wreath is rendered in fine detail. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of hammered provincial bronze coinage of the period.
