| Obverse description | Draped bust of Marcia Otacilia Severa facing right, her elaborately waved and ridged hair bound with a diadem and gathered in a bun at the nape, with a crescent symbol visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Arabian mint at Philippopolis, with finely articulated drapery folds visible at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the field. |
