Reverse description Apollo Klarios, the oracular deity especially venerated at Colophon, depicted seated to the left on a rock or omphalos, his robes draped about his lower body. He holds a laurel branch in his outstretched right hand and a lyre in his left, attributes emblematic of his roles as god of prophecy and the arts. The multi-line Greek legend surrounding the type records the magistrate responsible for the issue and the civic identity of the mint, referencing strategos Aurelius Capitolinus in his second term of office.
