Reverse description A distyle temple with two columns shown in elevation, a shield displayed in the pediment, enclosing the seated figure of Zeus turned to the left, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The architectural frame is rendered with a stepped base and tympanum, typical of Nysaean civic coinage of the mid-third century. The reverse legend naming the local magistrate Aurelius Artemidoros, son of Meliton, and the civic ethnic of the Nysaeans runs around the field within a beaded border.
