Obverse description Confronted standing figures of co-emperors Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, both draped in the toga, clasping right hands (dextrarum iunctio) in the center of the field as a symbol of imperial concordia. The composition is formal and hieratic, consistent with provincial civic coinage of the Antonine period. The Greek legend ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΩΝ encircles the scene, proclaiming the harmony of the Augusti.
