| Reverse description | Youthful draped bust of Dionysus facing right, head wreathed with ivy, a thyrsus carried over the left shoulder. To the right of the bust, a pendant bunch of grapes serves as an additional Dionysiac attribute, reinforcing the deity's association with viticulture and festivity. The encircling Greek civic legend identifies the issuing community. The style is typical of Cilician provincial bronzes of the mid-second century AD. |
