| Obverse description | Bare, diademed head of the eponymous hero Kyzikos, youthful in appearance, facing right, rendered in a naturalistic Antonine provincial style. The hair is depicted in wavy locks swept back from the forehead, with a diadem binding the locks above. The legend ΚΥΖΙΚΟϹ is distributed around the periphery of the field. The flan is irregular, as is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Two tall lighted torches, each entwined by a serpent, flank a small lighted altar at center, all three objects depicted frontally and symmetrically within the field. The torches blaze at their summits and the serpents coil upward along their shafts, referencing the chthonic and mystery cult traditions associated with Cyzicus. The encircling legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ ΝΕΟΚΟΡΩΝ, proclaiming the city's status as a neokorate — an honorific title granted for the maintenance of an imperial cult temple — runs around the border. The composition is a standard neokorate reverse type for Cyzicus under the Antonine emperors. |
