| 背面描述 | The cult statue of Artemis Kindyas stands frontal and erect upon a rectangular base, arms crossed over the chest in the distinctive aniconic pose associated with her worship at Bargylia. To the left of the base, a stag stands facing left with head turned right, a sacred animal of Artemis. To the right, a tree is depicted, likely referencing the sacred grove associated with the goddess. The ethnic legend ΒΑΡΓΥΛΙΗΤΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing civic authority. |

Bargylia, a coastal Carian city whose harbor was said never to freeze due to the warming influence of the moon goddess Artemis Kindyas — the city's principal cult — struck bronze under Marcus Aurelius during the co-reign years following Lucius Verus's death. The city enjoyed enough civic autonomy under the Halicarnassus conventus to manage its own bronze issues, though the surviving corpus is thin and die studies remain incomplete.
