正面描述 Laureate head of the Emperor Hadrian facing right, with characteristic short beard and curled hair beneath the laurel wreath, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of Hadrianic provincial bronzes. The effigy is boldly modelled in high relief, with the neck truncation visible at the coin's lower field. The circular Greek legend runs along the periphery, reading ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature as Autocrator Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus.

附加信息

Hadriani ad Olympum was a city Hadrian effectively created in his own honor during his extensive tours of the eastern provinces — one of at least a dozen settlements refounded or renamed for the emperor across Asia Minor and Greece. The Conventus of Adramyteum, the judicial district to which it belonged, gave the city administrative standing, but the settlement's identity was entirely Hadrianic from inception. Coins bearing the ΑΔΡΙΑΝΩΝ ethnic are the primary surviving evidence of the city's early civic ambition.
