| Beschrijving keerzijde | Draped, veiled, and turreted bust of Tyche, the civic personification of Edessa, facing left, symbolizing the fortune and protection of the city. In the field before her, Marsyas (possibly) stands to the right atop a short column, carrying a wineskin over his shoulder, with an altar placed nearby — iconographic elements alluding to the city's civic and religious identity. The Greek legend encircling the reverse reads ΜΗΤ ΚΟΛ ΕΔΕϹϹΗΝωΝ, identifying Edessa by its honorific titles of Metropolis and Colonia.
