Obverse description Bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left, laureate, draped and cuirassed, seen from the rear, holding a spear over the right shoulder and bearing a shield on the left arm. The imperial effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Cyzicene mint, with bold relief modelling typical of mid-third-century Asia Minor coinage. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field.
