Reverse description Two Nemeses standing facing one another in the central field; the figure to the left holds a bridle, the figure to the right holds a cubit rule or measuring rod. At their feet, a wheel is depicted, a standard attribute of Nemesis symbolising fate and retribution. The composition is rendered in the typical provincial style of the Smyrna mint, with the multi-line strategos legend distributed around the outer field and across the reverse.
