Reverse description The reverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Greek votive inscription arranged in horizontal lines and enclosed within a laurel wreath, a format typical of Pergamene civic coinage commemorating sacred games. The inscription records the celebration of the first Olympia games at Pergamum under the authority of the local magistrate Sextus Claudius Silianus, and affirms the city's triple neocorate status. The wreath border is clearly visible encircling the epigraphic panel, and a further border runs along the outer rim of the flan.
