| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, a presentation typical of later third-century provincial bronze coinage. The radiate crown, composed of pointed rays, frames the imperial effigy and denotes his solar associations. The drapery and cuirass are rendered with provincial workmanship, visible in the bold, somewhat schematic treatment of the armour. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination consistent with a provincial Æ issue. |
