| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Cornelia Paula Augusta facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the Severan period. The empress is portrayed with an elaborately coiffed hairstyle, the hair waved and drawn back, consistent with portraiture of the consort of Elagabalus. The circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, running along the periphery of the flan. |
