Obverse description Draped bust of Cornelia Paula, empress and wife of Elagabalus, facing right, adorned with a diadem, her hair elaborately arranged in the fashion of the Severan period. The effigy is rendered in the typical Roman provincial style of the Ephesian mint, with finely detailed drapery visible at the shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field.
