Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, with characteristic curly hair and beard rendered in bold relief. The portrait displays the vigorous, idealized style typical of provincial Bithynian coinage of the late 2nd century AD. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible within a dotted border. The bust is truncated at the shoulder, with drapery visible on the left side.

Reverse description The Egyptian deity Sarapis strides dynamically to the right, his head turned back to the left in a characteristic pose. He raises his right hand in a gesture of benediction or salutation, while his left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition common to Bithynian provincial bronzes, with the modius (grain-basket crown) atop the deity's head. The reverse legend naming the city of Prusias ad Hypium is disposed around the field.
