Reverse description A lion, moving left, attacks a bull in a dynamic predator-prey composition typical of Cyzicene civic coinage. The lion is shown in full stride, its forelegs gripping the bull's hindquarters as it brings the animal down. A ground line separates the central type from the lower field, where the reverse legend is inscribed. The Greek legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ ΝΕΟΚΟΡ, disposed in the lower exergual area and around the field, proclaims Cyzicus' status as a neokoros city.
