| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Caracalla facing right, occupying the central field of the flan. The portrait is rendered in the typical provincial style of the Syrian mint at Laodicea ad Mare, with the emperor's characteristic youthful features. A Latin legend encircles the bust, reading M AVR EL ANTONINVS PIVS AVG P B G MAX, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The coin exhibits heavy green and reddish patination consistent with prolonged burial, obscuring fine surface detail.
