| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, with the emperor's characteristic curly hair and short beard visible beneath the laurel wreath. The paludamentum and segmented cuirass are rendered in detail on the shoulder and upper chest. The Greek legend arcs around the bust, occupying the left and right fields. The portrait exhibits the bold, forceful modeling typical of Caracalla's provincial coinage from Bithynia. |
