Reverse description Heracles depicted nude and advancing to the left, the Nemean lion skin draped around his neck and shoulders, his right arm raised brandishing his club aloft while his left hand grasps the Lernaean Hydra by one of its serpentine heads. The muscular heroic figure exemplifies the Hellenistic treatment of the demigod's labours. The civic ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is inscribed around the field.
