Obverse description Radiate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, wearing an aegis on the shoulder, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian mint. The emperor's features are modelled in low relief consistent with Egyptian provincial coinage of the early Antonine period. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature in Greek legend. The flan is notably irregular, with visible casting and striking irregularities typical of Alexandrian bronze production.
