| Beschrijving keerzijde | Asclepius, god of medicine, seated to the left upon a throne or rock, depicted in a draped himation, his right hand extended and his left arm resting upon his characteristic knotted serpent-staff (the asklepios), which rises alongside the figure. The composition is characteristic of provincial Anatolian bronzes honouring healing deities. A two-line Greek inscription naming the local strategos Glykon and the civic ethnic of the Perperenians encircles the field and lower exergual area. |
