| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, portrayed in the Flavian imperial style with naturalistic facial features and layered hair. The effigy occupies the central field, rendered in moderately high relief. Surrounding the bust is a Greek legend reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΙ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΩ ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙΑΝΩ ΙΟΥΛΙΟ, distributed around the periphery within a beaded border. The titulature identifies the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Augustus Vespasianus of Iuliopolis. |
